A four-story building on the east side of Manhattan collapsed after a thunderous explosion this morning. At least 11 people were injured including 5 civilians and 6 firefighters. Authorities say the apparent cause was a gas explosion possibly triggered
(1，引发) by a suicidal doctor who lived in the building.
At least 8 are dead and 41 wounded after two car bombs exploded in a Shiite area of Baghdad. Video shows a repair shop devastated(2，摧毁) in the blast and blackened frames of cars on the street.
A man died after a police officer in Ohio shot him with a stun gun. The man was running between traffic on interstate 75. Cincinnati police say the man had been using crack cocaine(3，可卡因).
Italians were joyful that their team won the World Cup. Italy beat France 5-3 in the shoot-out after overtime(4，加时赛) ended with a score of tied 1. The victory over France was welcome news that help set aside concerns about upcoming verdicts in the match-fixing trial involving Italian players.
